Hello Dear Moms in quarantine, and who may have had homeschooling imposed upon you!

I remember when this same thing happened to me back in 1984 when my husband came home from work one day and said, “We’re going to homeschool”. I hadn’t even heard of homeschooling yet, and so, as you can imagine, I wasn’t exactly thrilled to have a completely new way of life thrust upon me.

The idea of bringing our children home from school literally gripped my heart with fear. I knew I was ill-equipped and didn’t have a clue what to do. It wasn’t long before I came to see that our family relationships were moderately dysfunctional as well.

You may relate with me a bit when you survey your family relationships and see unfriendliness between siblings, or boredom, and even a loss of a measure of the influence you once had with your kids. My soul was overcome with these challenges, and more.

But I knew one thing—

I loved my children and I didn’t want to ruin them.

That fear drove me to seek God for the answers I desperately needed.

The Lord would use that one decision (that was thrust upon me) to draw my family into Kingdom Life, and to help me develop a method of whole-life education that equipped my children for real life. Later it led us to reach out and help thousands of other families struggling in their homeschooling.
