Hello! My name is Rachel Jordan!
I'm excited that you are here and I'm so excited to share with you these Do-Over Duos and Kid's Character discussions. My hope is that you have fun watching and reading these lessons, and that you will begin to implement them in your daily life.
At the time of this introduction, I'm a young mommy in my late 20's, living in Coeur d'Alene, ID with my husband, Max, and daughter Emily (almost 2 yrs old). When I was 12, my mom found Marilyn Howshall's books, Wisdom's Way of Learning, and started implementing the principles of Lifestyle of Learning™ in our family. When my mom found out that Marilyn lived in a city nearby, she began attending meetings and getting to know her more personally.
During a season of life when my grandmother lived with us (you can read more about this in Remembering Ellen), Marilyn ministered to her, and to our family in a deep way. Through Marilyn's ministry, the Lord dramatically changed our lives, and drew our family into a season of deep restoration with each other.
These videos and stories were written between 2011-2015 for a blog that is since lost to the depths of the internet. They are a sweet testimony of some of the practical things that we learned as the Lord worked in our family dynamic. I've had so much fun re-reading, updating, and adding a little bit to these lessons that I hadn't looked at in a long time.
These videos and stories are so precious to me because they are, in-part, a documentation of how my siblings became my best friends. We are still best friends even as we've grown older, gotten married, and had our own babies. We are still a team that comes together to make movies, and support each other's interests even as we've moved into our own houses and started our own lives. Thank you, Lord! I am SO grateful.
